Mike Carlton is right in suggesting that Paul Keating should write his autobiography to set the record straight. Alas he prefers taking potshots from behind his desk. It would be illumminating to find out if Bob Hawe was as Keating asserts, missing in action for 4 years while suffering a depressive illness.
